Roanoke - large three-towered monitor, rebuilt in 1862-1863. from the propeller frigate of the same name. Reconstruction of the ship was delayed; planned as a seaworthy vessel, the monitor nevertheless proved to be overloaded and its hull was not adapted to the additional load. Did not participate in military actions; served in the coast defenses of Hampton Roads until 1865, after which it was transferred to the reserve. After a brief return to active service in 1874-1875, in 1883 written off
The model recreates the 1863 ironclad appearance. A model of medium complexity, the 13th in the series of American Civil War warships. Double-sided printing is used, where necessary, the bottom cladding and some details are printed in a bronze-colored "Metallic" type paint, there is quite a good color reserve. Short text instructions in Ukrainian, Polish, German, English. The model is intended for modelers of all experience, but for beginners it should not be one of the first models, and we recommend, that they and modelers with little experience work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
