The large torpedo cutters of Project 183 "Bolshevik" were designed by NKVD SKB-5 under the leadership of chief designer P.G. Goinki. Long-range cutters were designed to carry out torpedo attacks both in narrow coastal areas and in the close sea area. The ship's hull is wooden with a smooth transom stern and widened bow lines. The deck is smooth over the entire length of the cutter. In the middle of the hull there was an armored control cabin with viewing windows and an open navigation bridge, the thickness of the armor reached 7 mm. The main ship control devices are installed in the open navigation bridge. Unsinkability was ensured by dividing the hull into 8 sections with waterproof partitions. Water capacity: standard - 56 tons; normal 61.5 t; all 66.5 tons. Hull dimensions: 25.5 x 6.24 x 1.24 m. Diesel engines (M-50F) 4 x 1200 h. p.; 4 screws; speed 43.5 knots; fuel reserve 7.2 tons; cruising range 600 miles at 33 knots (1,000 miles at 14 knots); Crew of 14 people (including 2 officers); autonomy 5 days. Armament: 2x533 mm tubular torpedo tubes, 4x25 mm 2M-3 or 2M-ZM automatic guns (2 turrets with two barrels; total ammunition 4000 rounds); 8 large depth charges BB-1; "Fakel' identification radar, "Zarnica" detection radar (from 1955 - "Nikel-K" and "Rhea" radars), "Chrom-K" transponder.
Moderately complex, well designed and detailed models of ships from the 1950s. The models, although small, are quite complex, but not so, that, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, even an advanced beginner, who has glued several more complex models, cannot glue them together. From the publication You can glue together two complete models of cutters: one - a large torpedo cutter of the German Democratic Republic Navy, the other - a coast guard cutter of the USSR Border Guard. Where necessary, details are double-side printed.
