IJN "Kaga" is an interwar Japanese aircraft carrier. The ship was named after the historical province of Kaga, part of modern Ishikawa Prefecture. Originally built as a liner, converted to an aircraft carrier during construction. "Kaga" became one of the first strike aircraft carriers in the Imperial Japanese Navy, a symbol of the power of the Japanese fleet, its triumph and defeat. In 1942 June 4 in the afternoon US aircraft carrier groups attacked the Japanese fleet. The aircraft carrier was hit by four 454 kg bombs, dropped from SBD "Dontles" dive bombers, five more exploded in the water near the ship. Bomb explosions caused fires in the decks and hangars, forcing the crew to abandon ship. Tanks with aviation gasoline exploded on the ship, left by the team, and it sank from these explosions. "Kaga" sank 9 hours after the attack. Of the 2,016 crew members, 800 were killed or missing. In 1999 the shipwreck was discovered by divers.

A very complex, well designed and detailed WWII ship model. The model is large, very complex, intended only for intermediate and advanced modelers. And there is a place for them to sweat. From the publication a model of the aircraft carrier can be glued together on the day of its death at the Battle of Midway. There are 22 aircraft details of the ship's deck air group. Where necessary, details are double-side printed.
