The keel of the artillery ship for the Russian Navy was laid in the Stockholm shipyard in 1886, the ship was launched on August 7 of the same year, and in 1888 it entered service, where it received the name "Korejets". According to this project, 9 ships were built and assigned to the Baltic and Black Sea fleets. "Korejets" was later transferred to the Far East, where he participated in the campaign of international forces to quell the Boxer Rebellion in June 1900. Before the beginning of the Russo-Japanese war, in 1904, together with the I-rank cruiser "Variag", it was based in the Korean port Chemulpo. From there, on February 8, 1904, he was sent to Port Arthur with a dispatch to the governor, but the Japanese escadre blocked the port and blocked his way. On February 9 both Russian ships tried to break out of the harbor and engaged in an uneven battle with the entire escadre. "Korejets" took part only in the final part of the battle, when it covered the retreat of "Variag". To prevent the ship from being hijacked, the crew blew it up in the Chemulpo raid after the battle.
Although small, a complex, well designed and detailed model of a beautiful ship for intermediate and advanced modelers. The publication is complete with laser-cut 1 mm cardboard frame and gluing details. Also includes a set of flags, printed on canvas.
