"Kometa" is a series of marine (first in this class) passenger hydrofoils (PHS). Marine passenger ships of the 342M, 342MIe, 342MT and 342ME projects of the "Kometa" type PHS for the transportation of passengers during daylight hours on inland waterways and at sea, within 50 nautical miles of safe ports. Ships of this type were used in the Black, Azov, Baltic, Caspian and Japanese seas, Volga, Don, Danube rivers, Lake Onega. Some of the ships were exported and worked in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Cuba, African and Latin American countries. Atmospheric 800 h. p. power diesel engines M-400. Performance was very close to the "Meteor" type PHS. "Comets" have been built in series since 1962 at the Poti shipyard and at the More shipyard of the Feodosia production association. "Kometa-17", whose model details are presented in this publication, was built in 1970 in Feodosia and served in the sea trade port of Yalta. After the end of the service in the mid-nineties of the 20th century, the ship was built in the Gurzuf settlement and served as a cafe. The ship is now scrapped.

Excellent graphic instructions, double-sided printing is used, where necessary, some details are printed with "metallic" type aluminum paint.
