„Odin“ – the Denmark ironclad

The armored ship "Odin", named after the supreme god of German and Norse mythology, was launched in Copenhagen shipyard in 1871, launched in 1872, commissioned in 1874. The main caliber consisted of four forward-loading 254 mm Armstrong guns, the ship was protected by armor, consisting of a full armor belt along the waterline, 102–303 mm thick, and 178 mm battery armor. The thickness of the deck armor was 26 mm, the control cabin - 142 mm. 1899-1900 the ship was substantially modernized by changing the cannons to rear-loading ones and changing the shape of the casemates. In 1912 June, "Odin" was decommissioned and broken up in the Netherlands.

A small, uncomplicated, well designed and highly detailed model of an interesting ship for modelers of all experience. But a beginner and a modeler with little experience should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and the model should be simplified a little and not rushed.
