Project 340E river passenger diesel-ships "Raketa" - a series of Soviet passenger hydrofoils (projects 340, 340E, 340ME, 340P), designed for fast passenger transportation on suburban and local lines up to 600 km long. The riveted hull and superstructures are made of duralumin, except for some steel parts. The hull is divided into 7 compartments by watertight partitions. The first "Rockets" were equipped with 12-cylinder V-shaped marine diesel engines M50-6, developing 1000 h. p. power at 1700 rpm, in the later ones - engines M50F-3, developing 1200 h. p. power at 1800 rpm. 402 ships of this project were built. No less, than two diesel-ships of this project sailed on the route Kaunas-Nida-Klaipėda and back. One of them still sails from Kaunas to Nida and back.
So, after a little work on the computer, more experienced modelers can perfectly glue together another "Lithuanian" model. The model is well detailed, with interior and cockpit equipment. Although small, it is quite complex, so it is more suitable for intermediate and advanced modelers. However, when working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, even an advanced beginner modeler will glue this model. Only for them, we do not recommend interior equipment in the cabin and salon, and it is better to make the glasses opaque. Colors reserve is available. Where necessary, details are double-sided printed.
