The trawler "Navena" launched at "Cochrane & Sons" Ltd shipyard in Selby, England, to order from "J Marr & Son" Ltd of Fleetwood. It was the company's first variable-pitch trawler and the first vessel in Fleetwood Harbor with a transom stern. Departed Aberdeen at 3:30 on December 5, 1973 to fish in the fishing grounds off the Faroe Islands. The ship was commanded by skipper James Clark. The next day at 6:12 a.m. a distress signal was given from the ship. "Navena" was driven aground by storm waves off the Orkney Islands. All crew members were rescued and brought to the port of Kerkoul.
A medium-complexity, well-designed and well-detailed model, that can be assembled by advanced beginner modelers under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The parts, were necessary, are double-sided printed.
