The first armored ship, built in China. A small ship with a small draft, launched in 1875 September. at the end, had a fixed casemate on deck, placed closer to the front of the ship and protected by 2.38 inch (about 60 mm) thick iron armor plates. Initially, the ship was intended to patrol the southern banks of the Yangtze River and defend the main shipping estuary - Wusun. A single 170 mm Krupp gun fired through an embrasure in the front wall of the casemate. Around 1887 the ship was renamed "Tianxing". During the Franco-Chinese War, she patrolled alongside other more modern warships. After 1911 The Xinghai Revolution ship became part of the armed forces of Anhui Province, where it remained in the fleet lists until 1914.

A simple, small, but interesting model. Recommended for naval hobbyists of all experience, but advanced beginners and novice modelers are advised to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. This model can become Your first ship model of increased complexity.
