A model of a British-built Japanese destroyer, a participant in the Russo-Japanese War. By the start of the war, "Shirakumo" and "Asashio" of the same type were in the 1st destroyer squadron. In 1904 February 9 during the night attack of the Russian fleet, torpedoed the battleship "Retvizan", then actively operated near Port Arthur. March 10 in a night battle, two torpedoes were fired from the destroyer "Vlastnyj" at "Asashio", one of which passed within a meter of the side, and damaged it with artillery fire, which gave the Russian sailors a reason to falsely declare the sinking of the Japanese ship. 1904-1905 in winter, both ships were transferred to Vice Admiral Ch. Kamimura's 4th Destroyer Platoon of the 2nd Battle Squadron, which participated in the Battle of Cusima. At the start of World War I, both operated near Qingdao as part of the 2nd Destroyer Squadron, 13th Division. In 1922 they were delisted from the fleet, used as minesweepers and in 1925-1926 scrapped.

You can make either a "Shirakumo" or an "Asashio" model from the magazine. The models are simple, but miniature. Good print and color, double-sided printing is used, where necessary. The models are designed for intermediate and advanced modelers, but are not so complex, that an advanced beginner or novice modeler cannot assemble them under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. But it won't be easy.
