"Kent"-class heavy cruisers - World War II heavy cruisers of the British Royal Navy. They belonged to the 1st series type "County". A total of 5 cruisers of this class were built for the British fleet: "Kent", "Berwick", "Cumberland", "Cornwall", "Suffolk"). 2 more cruisers were built for the Australian Navy: "Australia" and "Canberra". The "Kent" keel was laid in 1924, November 15, launched in 1926, March 16, joined the service in 1927, June 28. The main task of the "Kent" class cruisers was to protect the distant lines of communication of the British Empire. Light and auxiliary cruisers were considered the main threat, and the new ships were guaranteed to catch up with and destroy such an enemy. In light of this, "Kent"-type cruisers were equipped with powerful weapons, had an enormous range by the standards of the 1920s and had excellent seaworthiness.
The model is well designed and detailed, double-sided printing is used, where necessary, and the level of complexity is quite high. Recommended only for intermediate to advanced modelers.
