One of the first ships of the Russian fleet with a stationary radio station. It was one of the ships of the 1st Pacific Escadre. It hit mines twice (June 10 and August 10, 1904). Participated in 1904 July 28 in the attempt of an escadre of ships to break through to Vladivostok in 1904. July 28. Since 1904 September 18 Port Arthur and the Russian ships began to be shelled by Japanese heavy artillery. November 25 in the evening the “Sevastopol” proved to be the only large ship of the escadre, fit for battle. At night he was taken to an outer raid and established himself in the Bay of White Wolves. Up to 30 Japanese destroyers took part in the 6-night torpedo attacks on the “Sevastopol”, which fired over 80 torpedoes at the battleship. On the night of December 3 one of the torpedoes hit the stern of the ship. The ship landed on the ground and tilted. The capitulation of the fortress prevented the completion of damage repair and in 1904 December 20 the crew sank the battleship at a depth of 50 meters.
New and revised edition. The model is characterized by excellent detailing. The project practically does not differ from the previous edition. The main difference is the color. This model has black sides. In addition, the deck has a nice wood texture, the details of the propellers and window frames are printed with bronze "metallic" type paint, the order of trap installation on the sides and masts has changed (marked points for attaching the steps), added life wheels, the bottom and chimneys are much more pleasant and natural colors, than in the previous edition. We recommend the model to experienced modelers. There are sheets with double-sided printing.
