The 27-knot “Conflict”, “Teazer” and “Wizard” were built at the “John Samuel White” shipyard. They were distinguished by a characteristic silhouette: a saddle cross-section body with high ends and a noticeable lowering of the sideboard in the middle part. Of the three chimneys (relatively high, with a slight slope towards the stern), the stern two were placed very close to each other. All ships were divided into compartments by seven transverse watertight bulkheads, which had no doors. The hulls were made of high-strength steel and their plating was about 6 mm thick. The only structural protection was up to 12.5 mm thickening in the cockpit area and coal in the coal shafts. Miners were twin-screw with two vertical steam machines. In real service conditions the maximum speed of the ships did not exceed 24-25 knots, instead of the agreed 27. During the entire period of operation the miner "Conflict" served in Metropolis waters. In 1900-1901 he was in the Mediterranean Sea. During World War I the ship was part of the Portsmouth Defense Flotilla. 1920 May 20 “Conflict” was sold for scrap to Milford Haven company “Ward”.

An interesting and well-designed model, well detailed, will add to any ship modeler's collection. The model is simple and can be glued even by an advanced beginner and an inexperienced modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. But it won't be
