Participated in the Russo - Japanese War (defense of Port - Arthur, battles in the Yellow Sea). In 1916, the Russian government redeemed it. Housing and machinery repaired in Vladivostok. On January 4, 1917, leaving Port - Said with an English convoy into the Gulf of Kola, a mine was struck in the Mediterranean by a German submarine, the U - 73, and exploded. Since the ammunition detonation, it exploded again, overturned and sank.
