"Carlot" - motor rescue cutter, built in 1960 at the "H. Schouten N.V.'' shipyard in Muiden, Holland. Boats of this type are based in harbors along quays and go out to sea after receiving distress signals from other ships. This usually takes place in difficult weather conditions, which requires good seamanship from the ship and extraordinary ability and fortitude from the crew. During her 39 years of service, “Carlot” went to sea 579 times in response to a distress call, saving 799 people, 9 cats, a dog and a pigeon. This boat is now a museum ship and can be used for short trips from the port of Terneuzen in Holland.

A small and uncomplicated boat model, but well designed and detailed enough for the modeler of all experience, apart from complete beginners. Advanced beginners and less experienced modelers should work with this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and benefit from some simplified details. The model can be glued without the underwater part. The ladders and rescue net are printed on thin transparent plastic.
