The keel of the first ore-coal ship built in Poland was laid on April 3, 1948. Despite a shortage of specialists, materials, and electricity, work progressed and on November 6, 1949, the ship was launched. He is named Stanislav Soldek, one of the yard's forerunners. “Soldek” is being diverted to the “Carbon Bridge” route between Poland and Scandinavia, where he has been transporting cargo for most of his working life, although he has sometimes traveled to North Sea ports. In January 1972, the French motor ship “Borodino”, which was standing at the “Soldek” quay in Copenhagen, was almost attacked, but the consequences of the collision were quite mild - one boat was broken and one of the boat's beams was smashed. That year, the ship made 1,000 voyages and was awarded the “Order of the First Flag of the Labor Flag”, the only Polish cargo ship to receive such a high state award. On 31 December 1980 he ended the active life of his cargo ship and on 27 April 1981 he was transferred to the Gdańsk Central Maritime Museum.
A not very complicated Waterline-type model, perfect for any experienced modeler, only beginners are better to assemble this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
