The ship "Alert" was built at the Northern Shipyard (Remontine Gdansk Shipbuilding Group S.A.) for the British owner "Trinity House Lighthouse Service". The keel was laid in May 2005, the ship was launched on November 11 of the same year. The handover of the ship to the owner took place at the beginning of 2006 in the presence of the British Princess Anne. The ship is designed for emergency intervention in the event of a disaster at sea. Its activities include marking the locations of sunken ships and other objects that hinder navigation. Alert can also perform other tasks related to waterways maintenance. Rich electronic equipment enables its crew to carry out precision surface and underwater operations and rescue operations in all weather and water conditions.
A medium-complexity, small, well-designed model without an underwater part for modelers of all experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
