In 1920, through the mediation of a Danish firm, the Polish Navy bought four German-built minesweepers FM (Flachgehendes Minensuchboot). They are named after the birds: ORP "Jaskolka", ORP "Czajka", ORP "Rybitwa" and ORP "Mewa" and were included in the composition of the Training Division, which at that time was commanded by the captain - Major Marian Wolbek. The main task of these ships was the decontamination of minefields, mining, but they mostly served for the training of deck specialists and motorists. Their modest equipment did not allow them to sail far out to sea and so they mostly sailed between Gdynia, Gdańsk and Hell. Built during the rush of the war, they were quickly worn out and due to their unsuitability for repair, the Ministry of War decided on December 26, 1931 to delete three of them - "Czajka", "Jaskolka" and "Rybitwa" from the fleet lists. By the same order, the hydrographic vessel ORP "Pomorzanin" was also removed from the lists. The only "bird", not deleted, - ORP "Mewa", which at that time was being repaired and rebuilt after sinking in the southern basin of Gdynia harbor in 1931, took over the functions of a hydrographic ship and was named after him and sailed until the beginning of World War II. In September 1939, the ship, under the command of Captain Major Karol Zagrodski, was based in Jastarnia. There, on September 12, the ship's crew was ordered to block the Depka channel, through which German ships sailed to Puck. But the order remained unfulfilled, because the port of Jastarnia was heavily bombarded by German aviation and "Pomorzanin" was sunk. There are assumptions, that after the fall of Poland, the Germans raised and repaired the ship and used it for auxiliary purposes. The further fate of the ship is unknown.

It is not a very complicated model, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, even a modeler with little experience will stick together perfectly. You just don't need to rush, but you need to use all your patience, diligence and attention.
